On August 4, 2020 an explosion in Lebanon caused the destruction of almost half the city of Beirut including many of its healthcare facilities. The consequences were devastating as 218 people died, and at least 7,000 people were injured. This incident was heartbreaking, and our team quickly went into action to lend our support to those who were affected by the explosion. We carried out a car wash fundraiser, raising over $1900 in a single weekend. All of the money raised was sent to the Lebanese Red Cross. The Red Cross actively assisted with transporting people to hospitals, providing first aid and care for those with non-critical injuries, providing shelter, and distributing essential items like food, water, masks and gloves.
